Every friday until School ends, display your artwork for the community to see while walking/driving through the neighborhood.
Use porches, trees, bikes, etc. Get Creative.
Take pictures and share them with us on Facebook. Tag Wasena Elementary PTA.
- Display artwork by 3 PM Friday.
- find and view galleries between 3-7pm Friday. (we don’t all want to go viewing at the same time)
- Remember not to gather. talk to your children about what to do if they see a friend during the walk. Create Boundaries.

Please join us for the first meeting of Spring! In an effort to highlight the many wonderful things and places in our neighborhood, the folks at Evergreen Burial Park have generously offered to host our April meeting. Members of the Evergreen team will share with us some of the extraordinary history of this century old park! We will be gathering in the Chapel of Light located on the south end of the cemetery (across the street from Wasena Elementary School close to the intersection of Windsor and Brighton.) The fence gate on Windsor Avenue will be open. See you there!
Please join us for the first WNF meeting of 2019! Thursday, February 7th, 2019 @ 7:00 p.m. at the Wasena Elementary School. We will be joined by representatives from the City of Roanoke to get the latest updates on the Wasena Bridge Project. Also, Susan Jennings, Arts and Culture Coordinator for the City of Roanoke will share information and gather input for a new art project on the greenway.
Wasena Neighborhood Forum hosts 9th annual winter indoor yard sale, Saturday, February 9th from 8 a.m. to noon, at Ghent Grace Brethren Church “Jesus Saves.” This anticipated event brings many sellers under one roof for the best winter yard sale in Roanoke. Come join us and find that treasure you cannot possibly live without.
