Hello Wasena!

Please join us for the first outside WNF meeting of the 2025 season! We are looking forward to seeing you at the Wasena Park brick shelter on Thursday April 3rd, 2025 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.

We’ll be discussing WNF board nominations for this upcoming 25/26 term (elections to be held at the June 5th meeting). We’ll talk about some of our plans for summer and of course have bridge updates, skate park updates, in-river park updates, and more! You won’t want to miss it.

Neighborhood Meeting February 6th 6:30 – 7:30pm

Hello Wasena!

Please join us for the first WNF meeting of 2025! This will take place Thursday, February 6th from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at the City Light Church located at 1511 Maiden Lane SW (yes, with the “Jesus Saves” sign).

We’ll be joined by the City of Roanoke’s Real Estate Valuation team who will share information on several topics relating to property assessments. Please note that our meeting will fall just AFTER the deadline to submit an appeal of assessment. Please visit https://www.roanokeva.gov/2731/Appeals-Board-of-Equalization before the February 5th deadline should you wish to submit an appeal.

We’ll also have updates on the bridge, the in-river park, and the skatepark as well as discussing upcoming elections for the WNF board.

The City of Roanoke is hosting a free, drive-through Electronics Recycling Collection event on Saturday, November 18 from 9 AM – 12 PM at Berglund Center. 

Acceptable Materials for Electronic Waste Recycling
